Four people have been killed following a clash between 
rival members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers at the 
Mosafejo area of Oshodi in Lagos State.
The fracas, which reportedly started on Tuesday evening lasted till 
Wednesday after the intervention of security agents who are still 
keeping watch over the area to avoid further breakdown of law and order.
The violence also led to the destruction of many property, including 
about 27 vehicles, 15 of which were completely burnt. Several shops 
located at the Mosafejo motor park were also razed.
It was gathered that trouble started after the rival gangs of the 
union disagreed over an order given to them by the police to stop the 
smoking of Indian hemp in the area.
